Flora Incognita

This free app works very well within Germany. It has an error rate of under 20%. You photograph the flower, the leaf, and sometimes the entire plant, and it provides a suggestion. The advantage is that images can also be uploaded later, allowing the plant to be identified at home using Wi-Fi.

However, caution: the apps can be partly inaccurate, and you should never rely on them if you intend to consume plants!

Plantnet / Pl@ntnet

This also free app is not limited to Germany; it works worldwide. For example, it can also be used quite well for exotic houseplants. It also has an error rate of under 20%. Otherwise, the features and procedure are similar to the first-mentioned app.

However, caution: the apps can be partly inaccurate, and you should never rely on them if you intend to consume plants!
